The Beat Goes On

Greetings all!

It's been a while. And much has happened in that time.

COVID

Of course, the pandemic. That put a lid on venues and live music for everyone. Old news.

Salem!

But in the aftermath, we of Domestic Harmony have moved! We're now based in Salem, OR. We're not even unpacked yet, but we're looking toward getting out to play in public in our new home.

My First Gig

Yes, we're getting settled. Jim played out for the first time in late June during the "Make Music, Salem" event. He had a 45-minute set in the glorious sunshine at Venti's Downtown on Court Street. The audience was appreciative and we got to talk to some folks afterward. (And to the gentleman who asked about a recording of my arrangement of "Mr, Soul," by Neil Young, it's coming! I promise!)

New Music

During the pandemic, Jim did a lot of writing and some recording. In the next week or two, he'll be putting new at-home recordings on Soundcloud, and maybe a video of another new song on YouTube. The first, "Baby, Where You Goin'?" is a "uke-blues" Jim wrote and recorded solo last year. Check it out! Partners

Jean Marie is getting back into singing (and playing) and will be part of some future events as they come into the schedule. Meanwhile, Jim is doing solo work, anxious to meet new musical allies up here. If you might be interested in a get-together, be sure to reach out here.
